Meet the Nowling Family
The Nowling family are Indiana natives through and through. Originally from Indianapolis, Mike and Cindy share a genuine passion for connecting people to Jesus, each other, and their purpose in Christ.
In 2013, while serving at their home church, Mike and Cindy were invited to lead an existing congregation located in Trafalgar, IN. They accepted the call and after almost a decade of ministry together in that community the Nowling’s began to feel God leading them to plant a church in the city of Franklin, IN.
The desire to plant a new church became a calling in 2021 when God spoke clearly to Mike to “Quit your job, raise funds, and plant a church.” Since launching in the Fall of 2023, Connection Pointe Church Franklin has been the culmination of that dream and calling.

Our Values
Our church culture and mission are driven by the following values.
We are committed to truth.
We TEACH and PREACH the Bible – depending on the service you visit, you will either be encouraged and instructed with a verse-by-verse teaching or inspired and challenged through anointed preaching.
MDWK Bible study. These services are intended to help us grow in our understanding of the Bible. Nothing cute or fancy – just a clear teaching from the Scripture. Learning what the Bible actually says through teaching on a specific verse, book, or subject is how we grow in our Faith.
Sunday Service – These services are where you will be stretched and inspired through passionate and anointed preaching. More than just a lesson, Sundays are where you hear a clear and powerful word from God. Sunday’s are intended to deepen your faith experience and activate your obedience toward God.
We are Spirit-filled.
We are Family-focused.
We are Community-centered.
God is doing amazing things in our community and it is our privilege to be a part of it! As we serve our neighbors through our M25 ministry, share the love of Jesus, or remind others they are loved by God – we are endeavoring to take hope of the gospel outside of the walls of our church buildings.
We practice kindness.
We work hard.
We are striving for excellence but know we aren’t perfect.
We give honor.
We live generously.
Our Belief
About the Bible
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and perfectly preserved Word of God. It is true in all that it teaches. As the flawless Word of God, it is our only authority for what we believe and how we live.
About God and Jesus
There is only one God. The One God has revealed Himself to us as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that is, the One God manifested in and through an authentic human life. The fullness of the godhead dwells in Jesus bodily. To see Jesus is to see God.
Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:9; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16
About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
About the Gospel
The gospel is the good news that Jesus lived a perfect life, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again three days later. We express our belief in the gospel through our obedience to the gospel. We obey the gospel and apply it to our lives by repenting of our sins (death to sin), being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 15:7; Romans 6:3-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; 8:9-17; 10:1-48; 19:1-7
Water Baptism
We believe that our faith in Jesus is expressed by calling on His name in the waters of baptism. Water Baptism is the loving command of Christ and all believers should in act in joyful obedience, identifying with Jesus in death to sin, burial of the old sinful nature, and resurrection to a new life.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38, 8:12, 16, 36-38, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16; Mark 16:16; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today and that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the promise of every believer. Jesus spoke of two types of baptism; water and Spirit. Jesus himself was baptized in the Jordan river by John the Baptizer. After His water baptism, the Spirit descended upon Jesus in a separate and unique experience. This is also the pattern of the New Testament Church throughout the book of Acts. We should follow the example of Jesus and the early disciples by being baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:11; John 3:3-8; Acts 1:8, 2:38, 8:14-17, 10:44-48, 19:4-7
About Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and love others. We are to worship God joyfully and seek to live a life that is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly—in our thoughts, words, and actions. We are empowered to live a life pleasing to God through the Holy Spirit. As a Spirit-filled church, we believe that the abiding fruit and supernatural gifts of the Spirit are at work in and for the church today and are available to all Spirit-filled believers.

Our Story
The month of January began with 21 days of dedicated prayer and fasting. During this season, God sent two strong prophetic words regarding the future and direction of Connection Pointe.
In February of 2023 a group of 18 friends, family, and volunteers held their first Team Meeting at the Field to Fork Market in Downtown Franklin, IN. This initial group would make up the core team of CPC Franklin.
Over the first few months the Launch Team continued to grow. During each meeting, Pastor Mike and the team would discuss a specific topic including the Vision, Values, Teams, and future Ministry of Connection Pointe Church.
By May, various small groups were beginning to form throughout the community including the Mom’s Meet-up at Young’s Creek Park and Tuesday Night Basketball at The Franklin Rec. Center.
In the process of raising funds to purchase equipment, Connection Pointe experienced its first true miracle. The miraculous donation of a 24’ trailer and portable equipment provided an unexpected boost of faith as well as confirmation to the team that God’s hand was upon their efforts.
By mid-summer our team of volunteers were granted the opportunity to host a booth at the Franklin Farmers Market. Every Saturday morning they offered free Coffee and water as an outreach to the community.
On Sunday, July 30th Connection Pointe hosted their first of two Interest Meeting at the Coffee House Five in Franklin. 72 people were in attendance at that first meeting to hear the vision of Connection Pointe Church and learn about ways that they could get involved.
On August 8th the launch team hosted its second interest gathering meeting at Coffee House Five. With 80 people in attendance, this would be the final opportunity to share the Vision of the church before
Launch Day
Our first service was held on September 10th at The Garment Factory in downtown Franklin! With over 200 in attendance on that first Sunday the vision to plant a life-giving and Spirit-filled church in the community of Franklin had become a reality.
